Position Description

The Product System & Platform Operations team provides Tier 3 support to manage day to day operations on the platforms the team administers. As Systems Engineer, you are to manage, operate and support various application platforms delivering StarHub's innovative services to Enterprise customers.

Responsibilities

• Able to work during non office hour / weekend for service provisioning duties. Standby Required.
• Work closely with StarHub Engineering, IS, Customer Operations Divisions and System Integrators to provide timely resolutions to customer issues.
• Support Customer Care (Tier 1) and Network Operations Centre (Tier 2) on customer issues by investigating root cause and provide resolutions for matters reported.
• Able to identify root cause of customers’ issues by analyzing end to end traces or data of services.
• Document operational procedures for efficient handling of customer issues or systems’ faults and provisioning of services.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Info-Communications or Systems Engineering or related field with at least 3 years working experience in an Operation or Engineering role focused on Service Provider or telecommunication sectors.
• Candidate with experience in cloud technology such as AWS, Microsoft Azure will have an added advantage.
• Able to handle day to day tasks independently
• Demonstrate adaptability with desire to learn new skills and technology
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated and positive.

Preferred experience/knowledge

In Linux Operating Systems with working knowledge in Red Hat Linux.

In Session Border Controller configurations and its functionalities.

VoIP, TCP/IP, SIP, Network Security, Voice/Fax Codecs.
