Job Description

The mission of the Principal Systems Analyst is to provide strategic and technical leadership in shaping end-to-end solution designs that meet business goals, technology standards, and customer needs. The role bridges business strategy and technology execution by translating complex requirements into scalable, feasible, and effective solutions across systems and platforms. In addition, the Principal Systems Analyst provides guidance to a team of Solution Designers, ensuring quality of solutioning, consistency of design practices, and capability development within the team.

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead end-to-end solution design activities across large, complex, or cross-domain initiatives, ensuring alignment with business priorities and technical standards.
  2. Oversee requirement analysis and ensure business needs are accurately translated into robust functional and technical solution specifications.
  3. Provide leadership and direction to the team on solutioning approach, issue resolution, stakeholder engagement, and design quality.
  4. Review and validate solution designs, specifications, process flows, interface designs, and other key artifacts produced by team members.
  5. Coach and mentor team members in systems analysis, design thinking, stakeholder management, and solution documentation.
  6. Collaborate with business, architecture, delivery, operations, and partner teams to shape solution strategies and implementation approaches.
  7. Drive alignment across impacted systems and domain owners to ensure dependencies, risks, and integration requirements are managed effectively.
  8. Lead technical discussions with partners and vendors to define solution strategies that improve business effectiveness and service offerings.
  9. Contribute to RFP/RFT responses, business case discussions, and new business opportunities by providing technical insight and solution leadership.
  10. Establish and maintain best practices, templates, and governance standards for systems analysis and solution design within the team.
  11. Support resource planning, work prioritization, and capability uplift of the Solution Designer team.

Qualifications

  1. Degree in Computer Science, Computing or related field of study with at least 10-12 years of systems analysis and design or related experience in providing end to end solution design.
  2. Strong background in telecommunications industry. 
  3. Deep knowledge of mobile and broadband networks, CRM (e.g. Compax), Billing, Provisioning Systems, Inventory, Delivery, and Integrations.
  4. Proven experience leading complex cross-functional solutioning initiatives involving multiple systems and stakeholders.
  5. Demonstrated experience in digital-related areas, including user journey analysis, design thinking, and human-centric approaches to solution assessment and design.
  6. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Able to communicate clearly and professionally in a fast-paced, deadline-driven business environment.
  7. Strong conceptual and problem-solving abilities.  
  8. Excellent organization skills and comfortable with multi-tasking under a dynamic environment.
