Overview
As the Platform QA Engineer for Starhub’s Network-X Program, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and seamless deployment of our orchestration platform. We are seeking an experienced QA Engineer with expertise in test automation, release management, and monitoring to join our team. You will lead quality assurance efforts, ensuring smooth software releases, robust deployment pipelines, and proactive system monitoring. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in QA methodologies, DevOps practices, and telecom orchestration platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Assurance Strategy & Test Planning
• Develop and implement a comprehensive QA strategy, including test plans, test cases, and scripts aligned with project requirements.
• Collaborate with product owners, developers, and architects and vendor teams to ensure clear understanding of system functionalities and deployment workflows.
Testing Execution & Automation
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Python, Java, or JavaScript.
• Implement API testing (REST/gRPC) using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or Karate.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI) for continuous validation.
• Oversee manual and automated testing (functional, integration, performance, regression, and E2E validation).
• Drive test automation using frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG) to enhance efficiency.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous validation.
Application Deployment & Release Management
• Ensure smooth deployment of software releases across development, staging, and production environments.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to optimize release processes, minimize downtime, and ensure rollback strategies.
• Validate post-deployment functionality and monitor for defects in live environments.
Defect & Incident Management
• Identify, document, and track defects using JIRA or similar tools.
• Work closely with development teams to prioritize and resolve issues efficiently.
• Participate in incident management to diagnose and mitigate production issues.
Monitoring & Performance Optimization
• Implement monitoring solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK) to track system health post-release.
• Analyze performance metrics and logs to detect anomalies and improve stability.
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for critical defects and performance bottlenecks.
Continuous Improvement & Documentation
• Promote Agile & DevOps best practices to enhance QA processes.
• Maintain detailed documentation of test cases, deployment checklists, and monitoring protocols.
• Provide regular updates to stakeholders on quality status, risks, and improvement initiatives.

Qualifications
Qualifications & Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field.
• 4-5 years in software QA, with focus on orchestration/automation platforms (telecom experience preferred).
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, release management, and monitoring tools.
• Experience with test automation frameworks (Selenium, JUnit, TestNG) and scripting (Python, Bash).
• Familiarity with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk) and APM solutions.
