Job Description

The Senior Project Executive takes ownership for planning, delivering and achieving the objectives of small-to-medium-scale projects. Senior Project Executive defines the project management plan to manage the project progress, resource, cost; and facilitates interaction and tasks of various stakeholders to reduce the risks of overall failure. Senior Project Executive applies knowledge and skills aligned with the industry’s project management best practices and methodologies. As such, Senior Project Executive needs to have understandings of the different phases from "Initiating" to "Closing" and be able to proficiently execute and adhere to the organisation’s project management processes.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Accountable for the start-to-finish delivery of simple or medium-scale projects with high quality, within budget and according to agreed schedule and users’ requirements
• Assist Senior Project Managers in managing complex, high-value and strategic projects
• Front clients, provide status updates and ensure customer satisfaction is achieved
• Manage relationships and align with diverse teams of internal/external stakeholders
• Actively plan, manage and report project scope, schedules, cost and resources
• Monitor resource utilization to facilitate planning & scheduling of resources
• Identify, assess and manage the risks/issues of the project, and take appropriate prevention action or resolution
• Manage escalations and project scope creep or mitigates it when it occurs, or changes in users’ requirements according to Change Control processes, schedule slippage, technical problems and shortages of resources
• Work closely with business/product managers and support teams to ensure end objectives are met
• Willingness to take on additional functions, such as, involve in project (PMO) governance and process, corporate initiatives, etc.

Qualifications

• Accredited University Degree or Diploma in Project Management, Engineering or IT
• Minimum 2 years of Project Management experience, preferably in small-to-medium scale ICT projects in various industries, for instance Government, Education, Health, FSI, Hospitality/MICE, or Commercials, etc.
• Preferably had attended Project Management related training or possess Project Management Certified, e.g. CAPM, CITPM, etc.
• Excellent interpersonal, presentation, negotiation and communication skills including ability to influence and communicate to all levels of stakeholders
• Able to multi-task and is result-oriented, with energy and able to deliver in a very fast-paced environment
• Logical and analytic approach in handling situations, problems or issues
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
• Inquisitive learner, good team spirit and willingness to take up new challenges with positive personality and mindset
