Job Description

A Center of Excellence (CoE) Architect plays a crucial role in designing and implementing the technical & organisational foundation for a successful CoE. The role shall help to establish the direction and roadmap of the CoE in consultation with the various StarHub stakeholders from Information Systems (IS), Enterprise Business Group (EBG) and Networks. Most importantly, he/she must be able to shape the technological landscape of the CoE and ensures a seamless integration with the broader organizational structure.
 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies & policies to create a robust CoE foundation considering the organization’s goals, needs, and industry best practices. Potential scope of CoE include Robotics Process Automations (RPA), Cloud Solutions, Gen-AI, Analytics, ITSM Solutions.
  • Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, tools, and platforms that align with the goals of the CoE
  • Ensure seamless integration of CoE initiatives with existing systems and processes
  • Define technical standards, guidelines, and requirements for CoE initiatives.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to CoE team members. Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement by facilitating knowledge-sharing sessions and promoting skill development within the team
  • Establish metrics and KPIs to measure the impact and effectiveness of CoE initiatives, and regularly report progress to stakeholders 
  • Act as a thought leader, stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and changes in the organizational landscape
  • Effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess needs, provide guidance, and ensure the successful implementation of CoE projects.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams and manage projects related to the CoE architecture
  • Identify and prioritize key initiatives that align with the organization’s goals and contribute to the overall success of the CoE.
  • Facilitate training programs and workshops to empower team members with the necessary skills and knowledge related to CoE initiatives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive collaboration and support for CoE activities.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.

Qualifications

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; advanced degree or certifications are a plus
  • Proven experience in establishing and architecting the design of a Center of Excellence
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to inspire and guide cross-functional teams
  • Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • In-depth knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends
  • Project management experience with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives in parallel
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to use data-driven insights for decision-making
  • Technical knowledge and experience in enterprise applications
  • Conversant with vendor management. Experience in tender / RFQ / RFP processes, negotiation and contract matters preferred
