Senior Manager, Enterprise Engineering

Job Description
As the Head of Enterprise Engineering at StarHub – IS Division, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and implementation of enterprise-level solutions within the Telecommunications (Telco) sector, focusing on billing and payment systems. Your primary role is to integrate and optimize Salesforce and Cloudsense platforms, ensuring alignment with evolving Telco business needs. You will lead technical teams, define strategic goals, and apply modern development practices, including microservices architecture, to ensure agility, scalability, and high performance across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end architecture, design, and development of Telco-specific enterprise solutions, focusing on billing and payment systems, leveraging Salesforce and Cloudsense platforms.
- Develop and implement microservices-based architectures that enable flexibility, scalability, and efficiency, addressing Telco business demands such as subscription management, invoicing, and payments.
- Collaborate with senior business stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure that enterprise solutions are tailored to Telco industry needs, translating them into robust and scalable system designs.
- Drive the integration of billing systems with other Telco platforms, such as CRM, order management, and customer service solutions, promoting the use of RESTful APIs and microservices to enhance business agility.
- Oversee the configuration, customization, and optimization of Cloudsense Billing and Salesforce CRM, ensuring seamless integration within the Telco ecosystem and future scalability.
- Lead the implementation of automated billing and payment workflows, ensuring accuracy and compliance with telecommunications regulations and industry standards.
- Manage data migration and integration of new billing systems with existing telecom infrastructure, ensuring data integrity and alignment with business needs.
- Establish and promote DevOps practices, implementing CI/CD pipelines and leveraging automation to ensure rapid, secure, and scalable deployments of enterprise solutions.
- Lead, mentor, and manage cross-functional teams of developers, architects, and engineers, ensuring timely project delivery and alignment with Telco enterprise goals.
- Collaborate closely with vendors and internal teams to align on billing strategies, payment gateways, and overall system integration across the Telco environment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to Telco enterprise systems, ensuring minimal impact on customer-facing services.
- Stay updated on Telco industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes, continuously driving improvements in enterprise architecture, particularly in cloud-native development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in Telco enterprise development and solutions, with at least 5+ years in a senior leadership role, managing large-scale projects or teams in Salesforce and Cloudsense platforms.
- Strong expertise in Telco-specific billing systems, including subscription management, invoicing, payments, and revenue recognition, with deep knowledge of Salesforce Service Cloud, Salesforce Billing, and Cloudsense Order Management.
- Extensive experience in microservice-based development, including deploying and managing containerized services using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Proven track record of integrating API development to connect billing systems with third-party applications using REST and SOAP APIs, within the Telco industry i.e. SFDC -> Axway -> OCP -> BSCS
- Solid knowledge of telecom BSS/OSS architectures, including the implementation of large-scale billing systems in a Telco environment.
- Experience with payment gateway integrations, billing cycles, and managing multi-tiered pricing models specific to telecom billing.
- Deep understanding of data migration, reconciliation, and ensuring data integrity across Telco systems.
- Expertise in DevOps methodologies, with a focus on CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment strategies for Telco enterprise solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, particularly in handling complex technical challenges within the Telco domain.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud-native technologies such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, particularly in hosting and scaling enterprise Telco solutions.
- Familiarity with Amdocs BSS systems or similar Telco billing solutions is an advantage.
- Strong background in Agile development methodologies, with proven experience leading Scrum or Kanban teams to deliver large-scale, complex Telco projects.
- In-depth knowledge of telecommunications regulations, compliance requirements, and best practices in billing and payments within the Telco sector.
