Job Description
Strategy and Insights
- Collaborate with the leadership team to prioritize business strategies and timing of strategy roll out in a roadmap.
- Support the implementation of strategies by ensuring proper planning is carried out by the project team; key stakeholders are engaged and aware of the initiative for buy-in.
- Work effectively across divisions and functions to determine business goals and perform budgeting/forecast exercises.
- Ensure that the business is on track financially and strategically by providing regular performance reports and trends.
- Ability to frame up business issues and pain points into actionable insights.
Business Management Including Communication, Stakeholder Management and Budgeting
- Drive external communication such as board decks for strategy and roadmap presentations, commentaries for quarterly announcements, risk committee decks etc
- Prepare related material as a briefing for the CTO prior to external communication.
- Work with Finance and the leadership team to define budget and ensure key strategies or initiatives are aligned with the budget and provide recommendations if any change is required.
- Work with leaders to ensure proper mitigation plans are developed to address key budget risks and ensure budget or transformation plans are on track.
- Ensure proper engagement of stakeholders for the division's agenda to ensure buy-in and successful execution.
- Develop, plan and manage the Business Management cadence, consisting of staff meetings, Quarterly Leadership Meetings, Division Townhalls etc as needed to ensure key topics are addressed at the appropriate venue.
PMO
- Kick-start project tracking to drive towards achieving divisional KPIs.
- Ensure proper project plans are developed by the project team to achieve the desired outcome and timeline.
- Anticipate key project roadblocks, call out risks, propose mitigation plans with leaders to address them and track till completion.
Operations
- Collaborate effectively with various stakeholders on critical operational activities that are impacting strategy execution.
- Drive agile delivery of key initiatives to ensure faster go-to-market and promote an agile mindset amongst team members.
- Ensure governance and proper processes are in place for key items such as vendors and tender review, CAPEX approval, pricing committee, and others.
AI and Automation
- Develop and maintain the division's AI and automation adoption roadmap for business and planning functions, aligned with the broader technology strategy.
- Work with data and analytics teams to define business requirements for AI-powered dashboards, forecasting models, and decision-support tools.
- Evaluate use cases for Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) in business planning contexts, such as executive report generation, meeting summarization, and scenario modelling.
- Drive the identification, piloting, and scaling of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and workflow automation tools for high-volume, repetitive planning and operational tasks.
- Establish governance frameworks for responsible AI use within business planning processes, including data quality standards, auditability, and bias risk awareness.
- Track and report on AI and automation ROI, including efficiency gains, headcount redeployment opportunities, and cycle time improvements.
- Keep abreast of emerging AI and automation trends relevant to business operations and brief the CTO and leadership team on implications and opportunities.
Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Business Administration or related field.
- 10 - 12 years of Project Management experience in complex projects e.g. tech stack integration, cloud migration transformation and/or security enablement with CITPM/PMP certification.
- Hands-on experience with Agile, Scrum or Design Thinking methodologies.
- Demonstrated experience in applying AI tools and automation platforms (e.g. RPA, workflow automation, Gen AI tools) in a business or operational planning context.
- Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and the ability to engage credibly with data science and engineering teams to translate business needs into technical requirements.
- Experience with data analytics and business intelligence tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent); exposure to AI-augmented analytics platforms is an advantage.
- Understanding of responsible AI principles including governance, data privacy, and explainability, with the ability to apply these in a corporate setting.
- Candidate with Telco industry experience would have an added advantage.
- Experience in tender/RFQ/RFP processes, negotiation and contract matters preferred.
- Strong analytical and structured thinking skills with the ability to synthesize complex information and present it clearly to senior executives.
