Job Description

Purpose

• Upkeep critical systems and cloud infrastructure that support different business functions of StarHub. The role includes design, implementation, operations, maintenance, and system training. 
• Continuously design and enhance the Cloud platform with emerging technologies to improve the efficiency of rolling out services.
• Adopt best practices for service, operational and cost efficiencies.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple projects and architecture relating to system and cloud infrastructure
• Fulfil project life cycle activities including project management, architecture design, security compliance, implementation, and operations maintenance
• Administration of assigned systems, capacity planning, provisioning, including security compliance with regulatory and corporate requirements
• Carry out system maintenance, provide fast service recovery and within SLA
• Perform troubleshooting, system analysis and provide resolution for system and network related issues pertaining to Security Infrastructure and related systems
• Conduct constant research and innovation of current system infrastructure, keep updated of new technologies, and create roadmaps to achieve better cost savings, increase productivity and new revenue opportunities
• Explore and evaluate latest technologies to introduce ideas that improve or automate current processes
• Perform rotating standby duties and serve as technical escalation point that supports our operation
• Coordinate and drive Cloud Infra projects to ensure targets are met
   

Qualifications

• Appropriate qualification in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent
• Basic knowledge of security policy and compliance, with at least 2 years of experiences in handling security and network infrastructure eg routers, switches, firewall, load balancers, proxies, authentication systems (AD, TACACS, Radius)
• Good internet systems knowledge eg DNS, DHCP, IPAM
• Hands-on proficiency in Linux and Window Server administration
• Good knowledge of virtualization eg Kernel Virtual Machine (KVM), VMware
• Basic understanding of distributed computing environment concepts and capacity planning of servers (hardware and software levels)
• Familiar with Representational State Transfer (REST) and Application Program Interfaces (APIs)
