Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Project Manager to spearhead the migration of 700 sites with approximately 8,000 set-top boxes from IPTV to OTT. This crucial project demands a strategic leader with a strong telco background to manage customer transitions, sales operations, and the day-1 deployment team effectively. As Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring a smooth and successful migration, minimising disruption and maximising customer satisfaction. The Project Manager plans projects and takes ownership of the successful implementation and achievement of project objectives. He/She defines project resources, manages project progress, and facilitates interaction and tasks of various parties to reduce the risk of overall failure. He/She develops and identifies advances/opportunities in project management to improve timely delivery of projects and efficient use of resources. He/She applies knowledge and skills in project management, project planning, budgets and methodologies.
He/She is an effective team player who manages project timelines, stakeholders, deliverables and resources in a structured manner. He adopts an analytical and strategic approach in developing and communicating solutions that meet project objectives and stakeholder needs.
Responsibilities:
- Pre-Sales:
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify and qualify potential IPTV-to-OTT migration customers.
- Develop compelling migration proposals and presentations, highlighting the benefits and value proposition of OTT.
- Work with sales in contract negotiation and service agreements with potential customers.
- Secure buy-in from key stakeholders within the customer organisations.
- Customer Management:
- Develop a comprehensive migration plan, outlining timelines, communication strategies, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate with customer teams to gather necessary information and ensure smooth data transfer.
- Manage change management initiatives to minimise disruptions and address customer concerns.
- Conduct training sessions for both internal teams and end-users on OTT platform usage and features.
- Monitor customer feedback and satisfaction throughout the migration process and address any issues promptly.
- Sales Operations & Day-1 Deployment:
- Work with the logistics team for the set-top box replacements and installations.
- Work closely with the day-1 deployment team, ensuring efficient and timely transition to OTT services.
- Coordinate with technical teams to troubleshoot any technical issues arising during the migration.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on progress and success metrics.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering or a related field, preferably with a focus on Telecommunications.
- Minimum 2 years of experience managing complex projects, ideally within the telecommunications or media industry.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and stakeholders at all levels.
- Deep understanding of IPTV and OTT technologies and their functionalities.
- Experience in change management and customer training methodologies.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
- Experience working with set-top box deployments and installations.
