Job Description

The Project Executive takes ownership for planning, delivering and achieving the objectives of small-to-medium scale projects. Project Executive defines the project management plan to manage project progress, resource, cost; and facilitates interactions and tasks of various stakeholders to reduce the risks of overall failure. Project Executive applies knowledge and skills aligned with the industry’s project management best practices and methodologies. As such, Project Executive needs to have some understanding of the different phases from "Initiating" to "Closing" and be able to proficiently execute and adhere to the organisation’s project management processes.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the start-to-finish delivery of voice, converged and unified communications, for instance, 4G/5G coverage provision, SmartSIP/UC deployment & DC facilities setup, etc. projects with high quality, within budget and according to agreed schedule and users’ requirements
  • Front clients, provide status updates and ensure customer satisfaction is achieved
  • Manage relationships and align with diverse teams of internal/external stakeholders
  • Actively plan, manage and report project scope, schedules, cost and resources
  • Monitor resource utilization to facilitate planning & scheduling of resources
  • Identify, assess and manage the risks/issues of the project, and take appropriate prevention actions or resolutions
  • Manage escalations and project scope creep or mitigates it when it occurs, or changes in users’ requirements according to Change Control processes, schedule slippage, technical problems and shortages of resources
  • Work closely with business/product managers and support teams to ensure end objectives are met
  • Willingness to take on additional functions, such as, involve in project (PMO) governance and process, corporate initiatives, and etc.

Qualifications

  • Accredited Diploma in Project Management, Engineering or Telecommunications
  • Minimum 2 years of Project Management experience, preferably in Telecommunications field. Fresh graduates with related discipline will also be considered
  • Possess some understanding of Project Management methodology
  • Good interpersonal, presentation, negotiation and communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and is result-oriented, with energy and able to deliver in a very fast-paced environment
  • Logical and analytic approach in handling situations, problems or issues
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Inquisitive learner, good team spirit and willingness to take up new challenges
