Job Description

 

The Assistant Manager is responsible to monitor and manage the progress of internal key initiatives and programmes in StarHub Enterprise Business Group (EBG). In addition, need to drive projects from initial planning, execution through to closure of the programme.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with project sponsor, cross-functional teams, understand the scope, deliverables, required stakeholders, work plan, budget, and timing for new initiatives and programs.
  • Drive key initiatives, programs, improvement and deliver as per objectives and scope.
  • Takes corrective action and reviews how issues and risks may impact scope, schedule, quality and cost.
  • Effectively applies and enforces project standards and methodology.
  • Provide status reports and addresses issues as appropriate.
  • Proposing and implement new process improvement when required.
  • Ensure program operations and activities adhere to legal guidelines and internal policies
  • Be responsible for implementation of any change management initiatives associated with the progammes.
  • Keep senior management informed with detailed and accurate reports or presentations.
  • Single Point of Contact within EBG for coordination of Application Development projects to be delivered by the Information Services (IS) Division – ensuring that requirements are captured prior to submission to IS and managing EBG stakeholders.
  • Occasionally assist in supporting the team on PPMPOC management matters.

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's degree required, and more than 5 years of working experience in Project Management or PMO is preferred.
  • Certifications in PMP or PRINCE2 is preferred
  • Self-motivated individual with the ability to take ownership and multitask in a fast paced and challenging environment
  • Ability to demonstrate experience in managing diverse groups of stakeholders
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with proven ability to influence all levels of stakeholders
  • Proficient on MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint
  • Attention to detail with a "roll-up-your-sleeves can-do” attitude is a must.
