Job Description


  • To lead a team of Product Managers to set the strategy and roadmap for StarHub’s International Data Product portfolio.  The portfolio includes IPLC, IEPL, Global VPN, Global Internet, Backhaul, Subsea Capacities, nucleus connect services, dark fiber services, SD WAN and third party global partnerships.
  • To lead a team of Commercial and International Network Managers to manage the planning, sourcing, performance, cost, peering relationships and NNI strategies of StarHub’s International Network and Points of Presences.




  • Evaluate commercial feasibility of new product developments and drive product roadmap to ensure timely launches.
  • Champion the end-to-end support and operation processes for entire product life-cycle.  This include Operations, CRM, Billing, Engineering, Customer Service, Service Delivery, IT requirements, legal and regulatory.
  • Develop revenue forecast, budgeting models, business plans for the all International Data Products   This will also include product profit and loss (P&L) responsibilities.
  • Identify new International data business opportunities, monitor competitive landscape and trends to define network and product specifications and pricing strategies.
  • Introduce product tactical initiatives to increase market share with financial modeling & business cases to achieve the required revenue growth by executing Go-to-Market plans, working with sales, marketing and all relevant business support teams.
  • Formulate strategies and network plan for StarHub’s International Network deployment and diversity planning.  This will include subsea infrastructure investment, International Points of Presence, bilateral collaborations, swap initiatives, etc.
  • To work with all relevant internal stakeholders to manage IP strategies, including peering, buy/sell, routing and the commercial arrangement
  • Source for International solutions and partners to reduce international network costs and improve quality of service.
  • To establish excellent working relationship with International partners/service providers to support International solutions and escalations of bilateral issues to overseas providers for resolutions.
  • Talent management to maximize human resources to meet the corporate objectives.
  • Coaching of team members and succession planning.



Minimum degree in any discipline. 

Experience: Minimum of 10 years direct working experience in International Fixed Data.  Good working and personal network with overseas carriers.  Have a good working knowledge and understanding of International Data services and International Networks. This includes but not limited to matters relating to the International Fixed Data market, global carriers in the countries therein, the competitive environment, the interconnect structure, cost structures, and regulations. 

Interpersonal: The candidate should be highly motivated and a self-starter and should possess excellent presentation and written/spoken interpersonal skills, both externally and within the company.  Able to travel regularly to meet with carrier partners in order to foster stronger and more strategic long-term relationship with the said carriers.
