Principal Systems Analyst

Job Description

The role will collaborate closely with key stakeholders to understand business requirements and work closely with IS vendors/partners in getting solutions and changes implemented. You will translate business requirements into designs and actionable plans. You are required to drive fast and sustainable growth in StarHub services to address customer needs and objectives. You will lead application development, consolidate progress and report to team manager to ensure timely desired outcomes. You will also be supporting the business users to investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve issue during application testing phase.

Responsibilities:

· Liaise with business users to collect and prioritize requirements and be Point of Contact (POC) for all business requirements.

· Prioritize projects and manage multiple stakeholder expectations

· Partner Division POC to interpret and evaluate business objectives, requirements and propose technology solutions.

· Support requirement gathering and design of solution/technical specification to solve Division needs.

· Provide technical consultancy, expertise, and advice on matters of solution feasibility, application design, and integration.

· Understand business models and drivers and translate them into either platform configuration or specification for new implementation or even new product offerings.

· Work with partners to define technical strategies that will drive business effectiveness and improve business offerings.

· Assist with RFP/RFT responses to provide technical know-how and expertise.

· Work collaboratively with other IS teams, project teams, and other internal stakeholders to determine an appropriate and sustainable solution architecture

· Prioritize projects and manage multiple stakeholder expectations

· Manage vendors / partners to ensure that they meet project milestone / timeline

· Lead the application development team to support SIT/UAT by investigating and fixing issue that arises during testing.

· Capable to mediate between the production team and the application development team (L3) for a technical issue.

· Identify and escalate delivery risks and work closely with development team to bring issues to resolution.

· Work closely with other cross functional team (eg. demand managers, project managers, QA managers) to ensure timely project deliverables.

Requirements:

· Degree in Computer Science, Computer or related field of study with at least 5 years of Business Analyst or related experience in providing end to end solution design.

· Experience with telco business, BSS transformation is a plus

· Experience with Mobile App/Web, CRM, Billing and/or Order Management domain is a plus

· Experience working with the end user or developers’ communities preferred

· Sound understanding of software development life cycles, CI/CD, Cloud and integration

· Strong communication skills. Able to communicate clearly and professionally in a fast-paced, deadline-driven business environment

· Strong conceptual and problem-solving abilities.

· Excellent organization skills and comfortable with multi-tasking under a dynamic environment

· Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
