Job Description

Role Mission: Lead quality assurance inclusive of automation for our software and systems undergoing significant changes in design and ways of working.

Responsibilities: 

1. Designing, implementing and optimising processes for software delivery
2. Establishing and tracking metrics to use data to drive improvement and accountability
3. Work with stakeholders across engineering, product and operations to ensure alignment on these quality standards and goals
4. Designing and implementing test automation approaches and ways to track their efficacy
5. Working with vendors to deliver software releases to the standards defined above
6. Tracking data related to releases and testing, designing dashboards to share updates and progress with relevant teams
   

Qualifications

1. Successfully championed shift-left testing strategies in 1 or more teams and ensured quality is built in from the earliest stages of development. Team(s) worked with have been able to continue the best practices around quality assurance even without direct QA oversight.
2. Built and lead a QA team, leading and coaching the team in areas around designing, implementing, and optimizing quality processes. These teams have been empowered to drive their own initiatives and have themselves improved quality in a measurable way.
3. Designed, or at least significantly contributed to, and implemented automated test frameworks from scratch that have measurably improved test efficiency.
4. Driven strategy and change management around quality for large software changes, e.g. migrations, rearchitecture with low impact to end users.
5. Managed vendors, by ensuring strong considerations and deliverables spelled out in SOW documents and also by working with them directly to lead their day-to-day activities in alignment with the quality improvements decided on.
