Solutions Specialist Lead, Cybersecurity

Role Overview
The Cybersecurity Service Line Lead will be responsible for driving the growth, positioning, and delivery excellence of the cybersecurity business in Malaysia. Stationed in Malaysia, this role serves as the strategic and operational bridge between regional leadership, local sales teams, cybersecurity delivery functions.
The ideal candidate brings deep cybersecurity expertise, strong commercial acumen, and hands on experience engaging with customers, enabling sales, and ensuring end to end implementation of cybersecurity solutions. This is a highly visible, high impact leadership role focused on expanding market presence, shaping solution offerings, and ensuring the successful delivery of secured deals within the Malaysian market.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Leadership & Market Development
• Develop and execute the cybersecurity go to market strategy for Malaysia in alignment with regional business objectives.
• Identify new market opportunities, emerging risks, and competitive trends to expand the cybersecurity footprint.
• Build and nurture relationships with enterprise customers, industry partners, and cybersecurity associations to strengthen market presence.
• Provide pre sales support including solution scoping, RFP/RFQ responses, and customer presentations.
2. Sales Collaboration & Revenue Growth
• Work hand in hand with the Malaysia sales team to drive cybersecurity pipeline growth and secure new business.
• Provide sales enablement: coaching, solution insights, competitive positioning, and value articulation.
• Assist in crafting tailored proposals and ensuring commercial viability of cybersecurity offerings.
• Track pipeline progress and support forecast accuracy for cybersecurity business in Malaysia.
3. Solution Expertise & Offering Development
• Act as the subject matter expert for cybersecurity services and solutions, including consulting, managed security services, infrastructure security, cloud security, and compliance.
• Collaborate with the Singapore Enterprise CISO and delivery teams to refine service offerings and ensure compliance with governance, risk, and security frameworks.
• Contribute insights to regional product roadmaps based on customer feedback, emerging threats, and regulatory changes.
4. Delivery Alignment & Execution Excellence
• Ensure smooth handover of secured deals to delivery teams and maintain oversight of delivery quality and timelines.
• Work closely with the Delivery Head to address escalations, resourcing needs, and project risks.
• Monitor delivery performance, customer satisfaction, and SLAs for cybersecurity engagements.
• Provide input to continuously improve delivery methodologies, processes, and cybersecurity capabilities.
5. Stakeholder Management & Regional Collaboration
• Maintain strong alignment and communication with both Singapore and Malaysia leaders on business performance and strategic priorities.
• Liaise with the Singapore cybersecurity team to ensure cohesive security strategies and solution alignment across markets.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, delivery, product, marketing) to execute regional cybersecurity initiatives.
Qualifications
Qualifications & Experience
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field; advanced certifications preferred (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH, ISO27001 Lead Auditor/Implementer).
• At least 15 years of experience in cybersecurity, including at least 8 years in a leadership or service line management role.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity technologies, standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
• Demonstrated success in supporting sales teams and driving revenue for cybersecurity services.
• Proven experience managing or overseeing delivery of cybersecurity projects or managed services.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and business domains.
• Able to travel within Malaysia and occasionally to Singapore.
