Job Description

We are seeking a highly technical, meticulous, and leadership-driven Manager, Group Reporting to lead our group consolidation and financial reporting function. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of the Group’s consolidated financial statements and external reporting requirements. The successful candidate will oversee the closing process, ensure strict adherence to accounting standards (e.g., SFRS(I) / IFRS) and statutory regulations, and act as a key liaison for external auditors, senior management, and regulatory bodies.

Responsibilities

Group Financial Consolidation & Reporting

  • Lead and oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual group financial consolidation process across all business units and subsidiaries.

  • Drive the preparation and timely submission of the Group’s external financial reports, including SGX announcements, annual reports, and other statutory filings.

  • Ensure all consolidated financial statements strictly comply with relevant accounting standards, listing rules, and regulatory frameworks.

  • Evaluate, interpret, and implement new or revised accounting standards across the Group, providing technical accounting advice and policy updates to business units.

  • Manage the group audit process, serving as the primary point of contact for external auditors and ensuring timely resolution of audit issues.

Governance, Systems & Process Improvement

  • Review, maintain, and strengthen group internal controls, ensuring financial data integrity and strict compliance with corporate governance.

  • Drive the continuous improvement and automation of group financial reporting systems, workflows, and consolidation tools (e.g., SAP, Workday).

  • Review monthly closing activities submitted by business units to ensure alignment with Group accounting policies and timelines.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of reporting professionals, fostering a culture of technical excellence and accuracy.

  • Manage ad-hoc corporate reporting projects, financial restructuring initiatives, or statutory compliance tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Professional qualification in Accountancy (e.g., CA, CPA, ACCA) with at least 7–9 years of relevant working experience, ideally beginning with a Big 4 audit firm followed by a commercial group reporting role.

  • At least 3–5 years of direct experience in Group Consolidation and Reporting within a listed company environment (experience with SGX reporting requirements is highly preferred).

  • Deep and robust technical knowledge of accounting standards (SFRS(I) / IFRS) and statutory compliance frameworks.

  • Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial capacity, with a strong track record of leading and developing teams.

  • Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to untangle complex consolidated accounting issues.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical accounting matters to non-finance headers.

  • Resilient, organized, and capable of managing tight timelines during peak financial reporting periods.

  • Proficiency in financial systems; hands-on experience with consolidation tools, SAP, or Workday is highly advantageous.
