Job Description

Purpose:
StarHub is seeking a Manager (Finance Excellence) to lead post-merger integration efforts and drive strategic planning for our ongoing Finance System Transformation. This newly created position offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of Finance in StarHub, ensuring seamless integration of finance functions from acquired businesses and the successful transformation of finance systems across the Southeast Asian region.


The ideal candidate will possess strong project management capabilities, outstanding communication skills, and experience working with cross-functional teams. This role will work closely with both internal and external stakeholders, supporting our transformation goals, while also assisting the Investor Relations team on an ad hoc basis.


Responsibilities:

Finance System Transformation:
•    Manage the strategic planning and execution of finance system transformation initiatives, working closely with internal IS team and external consultants.
•    Drive project timelines, track deliverables, and ensure all activities align with the transformation objectives and business needs.
•    Identify opportunities for automation, standardization, and operational excellence.
•    Identify and address risks proactively to ensure smooth implementation.

Stakeholder Collaboration:
•    Serve as the primary liaison between StarHub and external consultants, ensuring efficient communication and alignment on deliverables.
•    Engage with internal stakeholders across finance, IT, legal, and business units to support integration and transformation activities.

Post-Merger Financial Integration:
•    Lead the integration of finance functions from acquired businesses across Southeast Asia to align with StarHub’s standards and operational goals.
•    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth financial data consolidation and process harmonisation.
•    Standardize processes across entities (P2P, O2C, R2R) to enhance operational efficiency.
•    Identify and implement automation opportunities to streamline finance operations.

Investor Relations Support:
•    Provide support to the Investor Relations team on an adhoc basis during quarterly earnings reporting period, annual investor engagement sessions, and M&A activities.

 

Qualifications

  • Appropriate qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field; Professional certifications (eg ACCA, CPA, CFA) is an advantage
  • 6-8 years of experiences in finance, accounting, or consulting, with exposure to post-merger integration or system transformation projects
  • Strong project management skills with experiences in managing complex, cross-functional initiatives
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail
  • Regional exposure to Southeast Asian markets is preferred
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and finance transformation best practices is a plus
