Senior Manager, Cybersecurity and Business Continuity Management

Job Description

Role Purpose

The candidate will report to CISO and is responsible for maintaining oversight of the business cybersecurity posture and ensure it is in-line with StarHub’s policies and procedures. The candidate will ensure all digital assets are being monitored and security reviews to ensure new project meets cybersecurity requirements and Business Continuity Management (BCM) is tested for effectiveness.


Responsibilities

1.    Cybersecurity business continuity management
•    Validate that the Business Impact Analysis is conducted, and the critical business function identified with a realistic Recovery time objective and Recover Point Object that can be met with existing IT Disaster Recovery Plan. 
•    Validate Customer Impact Analysis (CIA) and System Impact Analysis (SIA) are conducted for “day 2” operations.
•    Plans and designs security solutions and capabilities that enable the organization to identify, protect, detect, respond, and recover from cyber threats and vulnerabilities. 
•    Defines and develops security requirements using risk assessments, threat modelling, testing, and analysis of existing systems. 
•    Creates action plans for policy creation and governance, system hardening, monitoring, incident response, disaster recovery, and emerging cybersecurity threats. 
•    Reviews current architectures and systems to ensure consistency and compliance with the organization's guidelines, policies, and standards. Keeps abreast of the latest cyber threat information.


2. Manage people and organisation
•    Review operational strategies, policies and targets across teams and projects.
•    Develop strategies for resource planning and utilization.
•    Ensure the provision of ongoing training and development to ensure that team members are competent, suitably skilled and qualified for their roles.
•    Ensure team members are engaged and have opportunities for recognition and advancement.
•    Implement succession planning initiatives for key positions.
 
3. Process Improvement and Optimisation
•    Analyse and develop plans for process improvement and optimisation for security administration and operations.
•    Set clear standards and drive process improvement across team member to reach those standards.
•    Drive continuous process improvement for the cybersecurity technical reviews.

Qualifications

•    Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or related fields
•    Ideally, you have completed or are about to complete a Security certification (e.g. GCIH, GCFA, CISA and CISSP).
•    8-10 years’ experience working hands-on technical role in cybersecurity solutioning, and business continuity management. 
•    Ability to handle stressful situations and strong decision making.
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills to prepare and present cybersecurity solution reports to both technical and senior management stakeholders.
•    Experience conducting log and activity review, along with stream or packet capture, in support of intrusion analysis.
•    Required to be on standby with on-call availability during critical cybersecurity incidents outbreak.
