Job Description

The role will collaborate closely with key stakeholders to understand business requirements and work closely with IS vendors/partners in getting solutions and changes implemented.

Besides translating business requirements into designs and actionable plans, the role will perform application development, consolidate progress and report to team manager to ensure timely desired outcomes. He/She will also be supporting the business users to investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve issue during application testing phase.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with business users to collect and prioritize requirements and be Point of Contact (POC) for all business requirements.
  • Prioritize projects and manage multiple stakeholder expectations.
  • Ensure application resources are assigned appropriately to day-to-day support and projects.
  • Lead the application development team to support SIT/UAT by investigating and fixing issue that arises during testing.
  • Capable to mediate between the production team and the application development team (L3) for a technical issue.
  • Identify and escalate delivery risks and work closely with development team to bring issues to resolution. 
  • Work closely with other cross functional team (eg. project managers, QA managers) to ensure timely project deliverables.
  • Work with application team manager to conduct analysis on existing applications, business process reviews and creates functional specifications.
  • Work closely with application development team to ensure that new systems and changes are properly tested with good quality.
  • Provide technical consultancy, expertise, and advice on matters of solution feasibility, application design, development and integration.
  • Capable to perform Root Cause Analysis and propose preventive measure to avoid re-occurrence of issues.
  • Coordinate analysis, monitor progress and resolve issues on all system upgrades and changes. Support Application Maintenance Services team (AMS) to resolve production issues.
  • Analyzing new requirements, design and implement technical solutions. Perform code review.
  • Coordinate and work closely with outside vendors and contractors to ensure performance expectations and timely desired outcomes.
  • Able to hands-on in implementing Integration solution frameworks, applications & conduct proof-of-concepts on new technologies.
  • Participate & provide thought leadership in tender evaluations (where required).

Qualifications

•    Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or related fields.
•    At least 5 years working in application development role within Telco industry .
•    Analysis and Design experience on complex projects (preferably in Telco industry).
•    Systems integration experience in complex environments involving CRM, Billing, Online Charging System and their peripheral systems. Good understanding of Customer Care, Charging and Billing systems concepts.
•    Strong knowledge in Order Management flows and design.
•    Experience with Agile development and scrum management preferred.
•    Experience with DevOps toolchain preferred.
•    Strong knowledge and technical hands on in Salesforce Sales, Service cloud and Community Cloud. Certification is preferred.
•    Experience in CPQ CloudSense is preferred.
•    Experience in Outsystems for mobile app/ web development.
•    Sound understanding of software development life cycles, CI/CD, Cloud and integration.
•    Experience with and understanding of declarative enhancement tools in Salesforce such as Flows, Process Builder, Formulas and Validation Rules, Schema Builder.
•    Experience working with microservices.
•    Minimum 3 years working with including technical implementation experiences in PL/SQL (Oracle 10g & above), Java, REST, SOAP API technologies, JSON, XML Unix shell script preferred.
•    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Able to communicate clearly and professionally in a fast-paced, deadline-driven business environment.
•    Proven ability and commitment to work collaboratively towards common goals.
•    Strong conceptual and problem-solving abilities.  Possesses effective problem-solving and analytical skills.
•    Flexibility to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity, and rapid change in a fast-paced environment.
•    Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
