Role Purpose:

As part of StarHub’s overall strategic transformation journey to accelerate its digitalisation efforts, PCCW Solutions was selected as its IT technology transformation partner. This partnership will lead to rationalisation of legacy IT platforms and systems, and delivery of agile, new IT capability to enable simplification of processes and operations. This will result in enhanced customer experience and quicker time to market.

 

Reporting to the Programme Director of Business Transformation, the primary focus of this role is to own the entire benefits realisation and requirements processes for the transformation programme across multiple business units, functions & products. You will be the single point of convergence regarding the to-be business benefits, needs, outcomes, requirements, success metrics and traceability to quality assure the IT transformation delivery is in accordance to current and future business needs. The role requires a strong business background with a predominant financial mindset, robust knowledge and experience of benefits realisation, business process engineering, requirements capture and business onboarding of the solution that is delivered via a large transformational programme. At all times, customer and business needs must be connected to the company and programme’s overarching KPIs, business benefits and stated outcomes. The Lead Strategic Benefits Analyst will be supported by Business Analysts, Process Engineers and Finance Advocates, who will cover specific functional areas and technical analysis. This role must provide the oversight and leadership across this spectrum.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Own and be accountable for the portfolio view of all benefit realisation activities, business processes and requirements across the transformation programme
  • Span multiple units, functions, areas, products, stakeholders, and delivery teams to ensure continuity of benefits realisation and business requirements throughout the lifecycle of the transformation programme
  • Embed business outcomes, requirements, leading customer and user experiences, and digital into activities and workstreams into delivery
  • Ensure the establishment of unambiguous technology-agnostic requirements harmonised across business functions that can be delivered by our technology partners and enablers, thus reducing rework and ensuring efficient use of resources
  • Strong ability to spot flaws in requirements and know how to set them right. Ability to play the role of a Business Analyst and Process Engineer as well as be able to guide and lead other Business Analysts and Process Engineers
  • Trace all expressed and documented business needs to the relevant financial and business metrics of the programme, ensuring tangible and measurable outcomes
  • Sign off on user acceptance strategy and testing to ensure that business acceptance can be met
  • Be comfortable and have previous experience working in a multi speed Waterfall and Agile delivery model
  • Actively track and report progress to the project managers and programme director
Qualifications


 

  • Degree in Business IT, Engineering, Finance or related discipline, preferably with certification in Business Analyst / Business Process Re-engineering / Finance Analyst.
  • Significant experience in complex transformational projects in the Technology space with at least 3 years of relevant experience as a Business Analyst / Process Engineer / Finance Analyst
  • Strong experience of eliciting distinct requirements from multiple senior stakeholders through to successful solution delivery, traceability and business run
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, time management, prioritisation and communication skills, with the ability to influence trade-offs
  • Can effectively navigate a matrix multi-stakeholder environment (from business leaders and teams, technology leaders and teams to incumbent suppliers) to influence and lead benefits realisation across multiple workstreams and deliverables
  • Strong ability to proactively find resolution to issues and pre-empting problems
  • Strong financial acumen, commercial knowledge and business case development
  • Good balance of commercial, technical, customer experience and user experience
