Job Description

The manager will be responsible for leading the Group’s revenue and inventory accounting function. In this role, you will collaborate with various teams to analyse product and bundled sales arrangements; and determine appropriate revenue recognition treatment. You will stay current with accounting standards and regulations and ensure compliance with IFRS. Last but not least, you will have the opportunity to lead process enhancements, finance systems upgrades and contribute actively to the development of new and improved revenue reporting processes and procedures.

• Review and ensure revenue and direct cost are recognized in accordance with accounting standards and practices
• Execute revenue related monthly closing activities and reconciliations and ensure proper and timely recording and accounting of revenue and its direct cost
• Ensure accurate and timely delivery of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports, including the analysis and commentary on major variances
• Collaborate with Product, Billing and IS teams on new product launch to ensure systems and processes are properly set up before its launch to ensure accurate revenue accounting. 
• Prepare accounting treatment and process papers to support revenue or cost recognition
• Provide monthly audit schedules and assist in internal and external audit requests
• Act as custodianship for inventory and be responsible for planning and executing efficient inventory count
• Managing and developing the revenue accounting team.
• Assist in projects as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Accountancy or equivalent preferably with minimum 8 years experience in audit, accounting and finance with 3 years in managerial position
• Strong working knowledge of IFRS accounting and its application, preferably with product and telecommunications revenue accounting working experience, particularly on IFRS 15 on revenue recognition.
• Preferably proficient in ERP software (such as SAP), MS Excel and SQL    
• Self-motivated, resourceful, inquisitive
• A good team player with strong interpersonal skills with the confidence and maturity to effectively work with different levels in the organization
• Able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
• A good team leader to give direction to handle issues after taking into consideration of business and systems constraints vs accounting requirements
• Excellent organizational, time management and communication skills
