Job Description

The manager will be responsible for leading the Group’s fixed assets and inventory accounting functions to ensure the accuracy and integrity of data, processes and controls. This role plays a strategic leadership role which drives the larger offshore team and onshore team towards the future-state of the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) transformation.

- Maintain both strategic and tactical oversight of the BPO stabilization of the Fixed Assets and Inventory workstream and key initiatives intersecting with other finance & accounting functions, as well as key stakeholders in the organization. He/she provides leadership advisory, practical direction and mid to high-level decisions in driving the workstream to its optimal state;

- Lead the month-end close process, including review of account reconciliations and analysis of financial statement accounts to ensure compliance with SFRS;

- Develop, implement and maintain processes and procedures to ensure the company policies are implemented, transactions are properly accounted for and recorded, and reports are generated and analyzed on a timely basis. Responsible for ensuring compliance by both onshore and offshore teams;

- Act as custodianship for inventory and fixed assets, responsible for planning and executing efficient inventory count and physical fixed assets sighting

- Coordinate and facilitate all internal and external audit requirements within the department. This will include substantial interface with auditors and external contacts on critical matters;

- Managing and developing the Fixed Assets and Inventory teams.

Qualifications

- Bachelor degree in Accountancy or equivalent preferably with minimum 8 years experience in audit, accounting and finance with 3 years in managerial position

- Strong working knowledge of SFRS & SGX reporting requirements

- High proficiency in SAP ERP, MS Excel, MS Words and flow charting  

- A good team leader to give direction to handle issues after taking into consideration of business and systems constraints vs accounting requirements

- Excellent organizational and time management skills

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Experience in shared services management or Telco industry is an advantage but not mandatory

- Knowledge of SAP Fixed Assets module preferred
