Engineer (Network Management System)

Job Description
The engineer will be working closely with the operation team to develop tools and solutions to fulfil business and operation needs related to Service Assurance and Operation Centre, including integration with other OSS/BSS systems, process automation and enhancement. The engineer will also handle the administration and maintenance activities for key network monitoring systems. This requires excellent organization, problem-solving skills, with hands-on experience in software development and agile methodologies in a Dev/Ops environment preferably with telecommunications background.
Key Responsibilities
⦁ Interact with other teams to assess new opportunities and participate in requirements gathering
⦁ Designing and Developing quality assurance tools or solution based on business requirement
⦁ Deploying software tools, processes, and implementing new automatic scripts and applications
⦁ Managing project delivery with vendors and internal stakeholders
⦁ Administrating, maintaining and upgrading existing systems
⦁ Performing software testing and supporting end-to-end testing
⦁ Performing network element configuration change
⦁ Troubleshooting applications and software issues
⦁ Observing user feedback to recommend improvements
⦁ Participating in code development, enhancement, and optimization
⦁ Developing technical documentations to guide future software development projects
⦁ Training users
Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Studies, Information Technology, or related discipline
- Proficiency in Linux Systems, Security, and Software Development
Solid hands-on experience in Linux administration and security, with strong programming and scripting skills (e.g. Python, JavaScript, shell scripting). Familiar with REST/YAML, SDLC, Elasticsearch, Grafana, and both SQL/NoSQL databases. Brings 1–2 years of relevant software development experience. - Competence in Cloud, DevOps, and Automation Technologies
Foundational knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, Alibaba), with practical exposure to containers (Docker, Kubernetes), automation tools (Ansible, RPA), and DevOps/DevSecOps practices. Proficient in version control systems like Git/GitHub. - Good Knowledge of Networking & Infrastructure
Familiar with telecom service assurance processes, network monitoring methodologies, and routing protocols and LAN and WAN networking (e.g. TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP). Demonstrates a strong grasp of network routing technologies, telemetry concepts, and preferably holds networking certifications (e.g. CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA). - Fast Learner with Project Delivery Focus
Able to quickly learn and apply new technologies, work independently, and consistently deliver quality outcomes within project timelines.
