Company:  StarHub Ltd

Role Mission

Own and govern StarHub's enterprise middleware and integration ecosystem, providing a common technology umbrella for integrations connecting BTS and non-BTS systems. The role ensures integrations are designed, delivered and operated through secure, scalable and reusable enterprise patterns, with clear ownership across their full lifecycle.

The role provides product ownership and governance for middleware, integration, orchestration and automation platforms, including Workato, UiPath and future approved enterprise integration technologies.

Accountabilities
Own the enterprise middleware and integration platform portfolio across BTS and the wider StarHub technology ecosystem.
Establish clear platform ownership, governance and operating standards for middleware, integration, orchestration and automation capabilities.
Ensure integrations across BTS and non-BTS systems are visible, governed and managed under a common enterprise framework.
Drive adoption of reusable integration patterns to reduce duplication, manual effort, unmanaged interfaces and point-to-point solutions.
Define platform roadmaps, investment priorities and lifecycle strategies aligned with StarHub's modernisation, automation and AI agenda.
Partner with application, architecture, data, infrastructure, identity, cybersecurity and service management teams to enable secure and resilient integration.
Optimise platform utilisation, licensing, vendor performance and total cost of ownership.

Responsibilities
1. Enterprise Middleware & Platform Ownership
Own the product lifecycle for enterprise middleware, integration, orchestration and automation platforms, including Workato, UiPath and other approved technologies.

Maintain an enterprise view of middleware platforms, major interfaces, workflows, automations and dependencies.
Ensure platforms remain fit-for-purpose, scalable, supported, secure and aligned to target architecture.
Establish clear service ownership, support models and lifecycle controls for critical integration capabilities.

2. Integration Governance & Standards
Establish enterprise standards and guardrails for APIs, application-to-application integration, workflow orchestration, event-driven integration and automation.
Define decision principles for the use of middleware, native application integration, APIs, RPA and workflow automation.
Govern new integration demand to prevent uncontrolled point-to-point development, duplicated tooling and technology sprawl.
Drive reuse of approved APIs, connectors, integration patterns and automation components.
Ensure designs comply with architecture, cybersecurity, identity, data protection, resilience and operational support requirements.

3. Cross-Domain Integration Accountability
Provide the governance umbrella for integrations across BTS domains and integrations originating outside BTS that connect into BTS-managed platforms.
Support cross-domain integration across Finance, People, Productivity, Identity, Data, Customer and other enterprise technology domains.
Identify integration ownership gaps and establish accountable owners for interfaces crossing organisational or technology boundaries.
Ensure critical integrations have documented architecture, technical ownership, business ownership, monitoring and support arrangements.
Coordinate resolution of cross-platform integration risks, dependencies and service issues.

4. Automation & Orchestration
Govern enterprise use of automation platforms such as UiPath to ensure sustainable, reusable and supportable adoption rather than isolated automations.
Identify opportunities to remove repetitive manual work through integration, workflow automation and orchestration.
Assess automation opportunities based on business value, complexity, risk, scalability and maintainability.
Promote reusable automation components and patterns across business functions.
Measure realised benefits including effort reduction, cycle-time improvement, error reduction and productivity gains.

5. Product Roadmap & Portfolio Management
Develop and maintain the Middleware & Integration product roadmap and backlog.
Prioritise platform enhancements, new capabilities, migrations, rationalisation and decommissioning based on enterprise demand and value.
Manage platform dependencies, risks, releases and delivery priorities.
Build business cases for material investments and track measurable value realisation.
Continuously assess emerging middleware, integration, automation and AI-enabled orchestration capabilities.

6. Vendor & Commercial Management
Manage strategic relationships with middleware, integration and automation technology vendors and delivery partners.
Lead platform licensing, consumption, capacity and commercial reviews.
Identify opportunities for licence optimisation, platform consolidation and cost reduction.
Establish vendor performance measures and regular service reviews.

7. AI & Intelligent Integration Enablement
Enable governed integration patterns that allow approved AI and agentic capabilities to securely interact with enterprise systems and data.
Partner with relevant AI, architecture, cybersecurity and identity teams on connectors, APIs, orchestration and tool-access patterns.
Ensure AI-enabled integrations follow least-privilege access, auditability, data protection and appropriate human approval controls.
Evolve middleware capabilities to support future agent-to-system and machine-to-machine integration patterns.

Scope Boundary
The role owns the middleware capability, platforms, standards and governance. Individual application teams remain accountable for their application functionality and domain-specific requirements, while integrations crossing systems or domains are governed through the Middleware & Integration capability.

Areas of Impact
A single governed enterprise approach to middleware and integration across BTS and non-BTS platforms.
Reduced proliferation of point-to-point integrations, duplicated automation tools and unmanaged workflows.
Increased reuse of enterprise APIs, connectors, integration patterns and automation components.
Faster and more reliable delivery of cross-platform business capabilities.
Improved resilience, observability, supportability and lifecycle ownership of critical integrations.
Reduced manual effort and operating cost through governed automation.
A secure integration foundation for AI-enabled and agentic business processes.

Ideal Track Record
7-10 years of experience in enterprise integration, middleware, automation, product management or technology transformation.
Proven experience managing enterprise integration or automation platforms in a complex organisation.
Strong understanding of APIs, middleware, workflow orchestration, event-driven integration, system-to-system connectivity and RPA.
Experience with platforms such as Workato, UiPath, MuleSoft, Boomi, ServiceNow IntegrationHub or equivalent technologies.
Experience managing technology products across multiple business and technology domains.
Good understanding of enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, identity, ITSM and operational support requirements.
Demonstrated ability to manage vendors, commercial arrangements, product roadmaps and senior stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capability with the ability to translate business requirements into scalable integration solutions.
Experience with AI-enabled automation, orchestration or agentic integration patterns is advantageous.
