Job Description

Purpose:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Data Scientist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will leverage advanced analytics and machine learning techniques to derive actionable insights, optimize operations, and enhance overall business strategies. The Data Scientist will play a pivotal role in transforming raw data into valuable information.

Working with Data Architect, Data Engineers, and Data domain team, you will solve business problems and provide analytical insights to improve customer experiences and operation efficiency.
You will work closely with different stakeholders to support project implementation and maintenance of existing and new data analytics projects on cloud.

Responsibilities:

• Data Analysis and Modelling: 
  • Responsible for the design, implementation and maintenance of data analytics from various data sources, including storage, batch and real-time processing, and analysis of information in a scalable, repeatable and secure manner in cloud environment
  • Utilise statistical methods and machine learning algorithms to analyse large datasets and extract meaningful patterns, trends, and insights
  • Develop predictive models for various aspects of our telecommunications applications
  • Work with stakeholders including the Executive, Product, Data, Systems, Service Operations teams to resolve data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs
  • Work with Data domain team, Data Engineers and Data Architect to identify, design, and implement internal process improvements including data collection for cross functional teams, automating manual processes, optimising data flow/delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability
  • Build analytics tools that optimise the data pipeline and create/ provide actionable insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency, and other key business performance metrics
• Data Visualization and Reporting: 
  • Focus on collecting, parsing, managing, analyzing, and visualising large, complex sets of data to turn information into insights accessible through multiple platforms
  • Interpret trends and pattern in the datasets
• Prepare and maintain proper documentation of data analytics design and processes, operation procedures, etc
• Be an advocate of best practices and continued learning, keeping track of industry standards and technological advances that can improve the framework structure and design
   

Qualifications

• Appropriate qualification in Data Science, Computer Science, IT, Applied Mathematics, or equivalent
• At least 2 years of experiences (5 years for senior position) as a Data Scientist that thrives in working with and analysing data and generating insights
• Certification in Data Science, Data Engineering, Data Visualisation, Data Analytics fields
• Knowledge of telco networks such as mobile and fixed network will be advantageous
• Passionate about working with large data sets, data models and interpret data patterns
• Understand business processes and address the needs through data mining, data models, and segmentation techniques
• Knowledge of AI/ML algorithm and techniques, along with the tools necessary to accomplish them
• Hands-on experiences in transforming functional specifications into design specifications
• Hands-on experiences with Object Storage, Spark, Python, and Presto query engine
• Experiences to develop reports and visuals through any BI tools
• Familiar with data pipeline and ecosystem, data lake, lake house, data warehouse, and big data platforms such as Hadoop solutions
• Good problem solving and communication skills, to explain technical concepts to non-technical business leaders and present the results in a clear manner
• Work with a dynamic, research-oriented team that run concurrent projects
