Job Description

As Corporate Counsel within the StarHub Legal & Secretariat Department, you will provide comprehensive legal support to the StarHub Group across its operational and business functions. This role covers a broad portfolio of legal matters, including commercial transactions, technology and telecom contracting, tender bids, and regulatory compliance. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to drive business outcomes while ensuring legal, policy, and risk frameworks are met.

Key Responsibilities
•    Provide proactive legal guidance to the business and operational teams across the StarHub Group, particularly the Enterprise Division.
•    Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial and corporate contracts including:
o    Technology procurement and licensing contracts (including SaaS and cloud-based services)
o    Sales and tender contracts
o    Vendor procurement, managed services, and outsourcing agreements
•    Litigation Management
•    Support internal initiatives including template reviews, policy updates, and training.
•    Assist in managing external counsel, providing regulatory responses where required.

Qualifications

•    Admitted to the Singapore bar with a LL.B. (Hons) degree from a reputable university (e.g., Singapore, UK, or Australia).
•    3 to 5 years of post-qualification experience (PQE), with a strong grounding in commercial or corporate law.
•    Experience in any combination of the following areas of law is highly valued:
o    Commercial / Corporate Law
o    Telecommunications / Technology Law
o    Media / Entertainment Law
•    Prior in-house experience in the info-communications, technology, or media industry is an advantage.
•    Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills; adept at balancing legal risks with commercial objectives.
•    Proven track record in handling litigation or dispute resolution.
•    Analytical, pragmatic, and solution-oriented, with strong attention to detail.
•    Reliable, self-motivated team player who can work independently under pressure and manage competing priorities.
•    Responsive and articulate, with excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
