Job Description

Purpose

• Implement and manage daily operation of cloud resources for network/system applications
• Participate in the design of our cloud infrastructure
• Subject matter expert that recommends and adopts best practices for service, operational and cost efficiencies
• Work alongside platform engineering teams to develop, test, deliver, and maintain systems as part of our growing SaaS platform. 

Responsibilities    

• Support the development and maintenance of application infrastructure reference architecture using innovative solutions or technologies that facilitate systems integration and management of cloud resources
• Project manage the design and deliver end-to-end infrastructure management solutions in cloud environment (private, public and hybrid cloud, virtualization, containers)
• Improve infrastructure operations through better use of monitoring tools, cloud coding and scripting best practices
• Ensure that the solutions exhibit high level of performance, security, scalability, maintainability, repeatability, appropriate reusability and reliability upon deployment
• Work with partners on automation of infrastructure migration in/to cloud environments
• Work with cloud service providers to ensure their service deliveries, processes and documentations meet significant metrics and Service Level Agreements (SLA)
• Work with security team to implement necessary security features on cloud to comply with company security framework, provide early detection and set up security alerts to mitigate and protect application infrastructure services and application systems against cybersecurity threats
• Work closely with software application team to ensure the cloud architecture design and cloud resources are performing at optimum level securely for different applications
• Support and participate in systems integrations and CI/CD automation for cloud infrastructure and workflow
• Implement governance, build, deploy and monitor standards in clouds
• Prepare and maintain proper documentations for architecture design, onboarding processes, operation procedures, etc
• Perform project management role in cloud project implementation and service contract negotiation with vendors/service providers

Qualifications

• Appropriate qualification in Computer Science, IT, Computer/ Electronics Engineering, or equivalent
• At least 3 years of hands-on-experiences in designing and building either on-premise or hybrid cloud infrastructure. Experiences in any of these areas will be preferred: Infrastructure-as-a-Code, DevOps toolsets, Cloud Services (XaaS), including governance and security controls for multi-cloud environment
• Strong knowledge in technology infrastructure domain such as virtual server technologies, networking, internet protocols, scripting & monitoring tools, as well as infrastructure automation methodologies and technologies
• Familiar with cloud-native architecture and Kubernetes
• Strong analytical skill, creative and thinking out of the box when problem solving
• Certification in cloud technology platforms (in Architecture or Networking), Container Architecture, Systems and/or Network Virtualization
• Knowledge of telco network such as Mobile and Fixed will be advantageous
• Passion for software development, automation and new technologies/innovations for business and in operational excellence
