Job Description

Purpose:

Ensure proper accounting and financial reporting for operating expenses (OPEX) & fixed assets, including effective operation of the general ledger, financial closing, financial and statutory reporting, internal controls, business processes and systems.
 

Responsibilities:
Fixed Assets & Content & Opex & Leasing reporting
•    Oversee the deliverables of a team of Accountants, while managing an offshore BPO vendor
•    Review cost and coordinate with Content business team on Content channels renewals and subscribers’ reporting
•    Review daily operations relating to StarHub's direct, operating expenses, leasing, and fixed assets reporting
•    Review monthly, quarterly, and yearly variance analysis
•    Coordinate and review audit schedules and quarter reporting packs
•    Perform business accounting assessments, including but not limited to SFRS(I)16
•    Guide the team and review new, modification or termination of leases
•    Support and coordinate all internal and external audit matters
•    Provide accounting advice to and support internal and external stakeholders
•    Ensure compliance with company’s corporate accounting policies and financial accounting standards
•    Other ad-hoc task, if any
 

Qualifications

Requirements

•    Appropriate qualification in Accountancy or equivalent with at least 5 years of experiences in audit and accounting
•    Strong working knowledge of IFRS accounting and its applications
•    Working knowledge of IFRS 16 accounting will be  advantageous
•    Experiences with SAP or equivalent ERP system
•    Self-motivated, resourceful, inquisitive
•    A good team player with strong interpersonal skills with the confidence and maturity to effectively work with different levels in the organization
•    Able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
•    Meticulous, self-motivated, and resourceful
•    Effective communication abilities
•    Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
•    Proficiency in data visualization tools such as power BI, macros, etc will be advantageous
