Job purpose

This role holds a leadership role by taking responsibility for developing and executing StarHub’s growth strategy and business plans for Consumer Business Group. It requires a combination of strong analytical skills, a strategic mindset, a keen interest as well as demonstrated meticulousness.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the business strategy/plan for StarHub’s Consumer Business Group
• Intelligence gathering
• Monitor and analyze the business and financial performance of the various consumer products & services
• Review financial models and assess the reasonableness of the drivers and trends by performing extensive search on industry benchmarks and market information
• Prepare business proposals, forecasts and budgets and determine appropriate key performance indicators
• Review, analyze and acquire a good understanding of the industry and regulatory trends and developments for key strategic decision-making.
• Perform competitive intelligence to understand businesses’ positioning and opportunities in the market and present findings to the management
• Assist to strengthen relationships with key influencers, potential and existing business partners and government agencies
• Support engagement with the management and other senior stakeholders

Requirements

• Ability to work independently and play a hands-on role and exercise flexibility in a challenging and fast-paced environment · A strong team player · Well organized and meticulous
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting/Finance or Engineering
• A true business leader with solid financial understanding in modelling and defining new opportunities, strong pricing experience 
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards, financial matters, business valuation and financial modelling
• Excellent leader with exceptional interpersonal, teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to build good rapport and collaborative working relationships with all levels of staff
• Ability to understand and explain complex concepts in clear and succinct manner
