Job Description

Purpose:
Be part of the team that manages critical infrastructure that supports StarHub Residential and Enterprise services. 
Candidate will be required to support all aspects of StarHub Broadband services, including backend systems, last mile technologies, home networking devices and digital voice​.
This role includes design, implementation, operations, maintenance, and system training.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple projects and architecture relating to Internet infrastructure and CPE Management​
  • Fulfil project life cycle activities including project management, architecture design, security compliance, implementation, and operations maintenance.
  • Administration of assigned systems, capacity planning, provisioning, including security compliance with regulatory and corporate requirements.
  • Perform troubleshooting, system analysis and provide resolution for system and network related issues pertaining to internet systems and multi-vendor CPE     
  • Manage technical requirements and POC/UAT documents for CPE evaluation and verification​
  • Develop, implement, and maintain processes and procedures for daily operations, system configuration, backups, and maintenance activities on SQM and Speedtest Platform.
  • Understand IMDA/TSAC technical specifications and ensure compliance with StarHub’ s policies, standards and regulatory requirements​
  • Carry out system maintenance, provide fast service recovery and within SLA.
  • Provide innovative automation solutions and new test strategies for CPE functional and performance verifications​
  • Conduct constant research and innovation of current system infrastructure, keep updated of new technologies, and create roadmaps to achieve better cost savings, increase productivity and new revenue opportunities
     

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent
  • At least CCNA certified
  • Basic knowledge of security policy and compliance, with at least 2 years of experiences in handling security and network infrastructure eg routers, switches, firewall, load balancers, proxies, authentication systems (AD, TACACS, Radius)
  • Good internet systems knowledge eg DNS, DHCP, IPAM
  • Hands-on proficiency in Linux and Window Server administration.
  • Good knowledge of virtualization eg Kernel Virtual Machine (KVM), VMware
  • Basic understanding of distributed computing environment concepts and capacity planning of servers (hardware and software levels)
  • Understanding of Representational State Transfer (REST) and Application Program Interfaces (APIs)
  • Ability to explain complex technical issues in a way that non-technical people may understand
