Job Description

Purpose:
Plan, implement and monitor the Company’s environmental initiatives, enable innovative and economical green methods, deploy new Smart Technologies and Digital Platforms at StarHub’s Data Centres, Network sites and offices.

Responsibilities:

• Explore, evaluate and conduct trials of new technologies and platforms so as to achieve greener and energy-efficient Data Centres
• Evaluate new products and upgrades of building equipment so as to improve their efficiency, eg chiller plant re-design and upgrades
• Recommend and deploy intelligent building platforms and IoT devices to improve the operational efficiencies of our Data Centres and offices
• Work with corporate teams and suppliers on new initiatives and innovation projects
• Monitor performance metrics and scale up successful use cases so as to meet sustainability and operation excellence objectives, including corporate sustainability KPIs eg water/ electricity/ waste efficiency, etc
• Research and apply for government funding to implement new technologies and trials
• Lead the certification/ re-certification of existing Data Centres and offices to achieve Green Mark status in Singapore
• Participate as a key member of WSH Committee and champion safety practices at the workplaces
   

Qualifications

• An appropriate qualification in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Electrical & Mechanical Engineering or Sustainability
• Experiences in Facilities Management with good knowledge in power system, ACMV, BMS and Green Mark, ISO standards, particularly in Data Centre environment 
• Good in data analysis and modelling
• An effective team player with good communication & interpersonal skills
• Passion for sustainability such as green technologies, digital platforms, etc
• Preferred technical competencies:
  • Certified Green Mark Professional
  • ISO 14001 Environmental Management standard
  • BREEAM certified
  • IT related knowledge
