Provide daily technical and operations support of StarHub’s Core and Fibre network infrastructure

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily infrastructure operations and maintenance of the core transmission network and ensure continuous connectivity
• Service provisioning, testing, migration and fault resolution of international (IPLC) and domestic services
• Provide on-site support to resolve network equipment failures whenever required
• Perform proactive monitoring and performance analysis of Fixed Core network-wide elements’ key performance indicators and alarms, and upkeep high service quality level
• Plan and carry out maintenance activities and/or change requests on Fixed Core Transmission network elements
• Carry out dark fibre provisioning, operation and maintenance of the fibre network infrastructure
• Perform optical fibre system maintenance, troubleshooting and restoration work
• Perform scheduled fibre diversion implementation work
• Liaise with vendors and cross-functional teams to troubleshoot any fibre related issues
• Ensure all fibre records are updated across various platforms
• Carry out planned and adhoc after-office hour network upgrading and maintenance requests
• Provide support to ad-hoc projects
   

Qualifications

• Diploma in Engineering
• Knowledge of telecommunication services and fixed transport network technology
• Knowledge of fibre optics and IP systems
• Must possess a valid Class 3 (manual gear) driving licence and be willing to operate an assigned company motor vehicle
• Perform rotating standby duties including weekends and public holidays
