StarHub is looking for a motivated, self-driven candidate to join the Pricing team under Consumer Business Group. This is an exciting newly created function where the candidate is responsible for driving and implementing pricing and business initiatives, monitor market developments and offerings and work with various stakeholders across different functional group and BUs to ensure successful price plan rollout across Mobile, Broadband and PayTV services. The role reports directly to Pricing team head.

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop pricing hierarchy for different products (Postpaid Mobile, Prepaid Mobile, Broadband and TV) to optimize sales and reduce churn
  • Discover, design and deliver different product packaging spam across core services (Postpaid Mobile, Prepaid Mobile, Broadband, TV), devices and content/OTT services
  • Lead in review and pricing optimisation process for the organisation and work with sales, management and product managers to implement pricing projects into the market
  • Work with various stakeholders across Customer Lifecycle Management, Digital, Finance and Marketing to drive and implement new pricing and business initiatives for Entertainment services (TV and Video Streaming services), Mobile (Postpaid & Prepaid) & Broadband services
  • Design pricing guidelines to assist the Sales/Channel team in converting leads to customers
  • Provide analytics for commercial decisions and reporting the outcome for the marketing team
  • Establish pricing architecture across all core and secondary services of CBG (Postpaid Mobile, Prepaid Mobile, BB, PayTV, OTT Apps, Device etc.)
  • Formulate pricing strategy and processes to optimise profitability
  • Develop policy and governance process to ensure pricing is aligned across different channels (Retail, online, call centre)
  • Review and construct pricing through scan data analysis and benchmarking
  • Develop and support pricing strategies/Pricing Committee forum through business partnering with Finance
  • Provide actionable recommendations on opportunities that support business objectives of maximizing revenue, market shares and minimizing risk
  • Support Pricing team head in other activities as required

Qualifications

 

  • Degree in Business Management, Marketing, Economics or a closely related field
  • At least 5-7 years of working experience, preferably in the Product/Pricing, Business Management or Product Marketing role
  • Experience in Pricing with MBA degree will be an advantage
  • Ideally with Telco experience
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build good rapport and collaborative working relationships with all levels of staff
  • Require solid Problem solving skills and Business acumen
