International Sales Specialist

Job Description

The primary responsibility of this role is to support the enterprise, channels and wholesale sales team in managing all sales activities relating to International Business based on StarHub’s value and proposition. 
Assist and responsible for solution development, competitive costing, commercial proposition integration and business case alignment of International Data Services solutions supporting client business and requirements. Confidently articulates all aspects of solution and persuasively communicates value to the client. Influences client evaluation criteria and decision making. Works individually, in teams or as leader, to determine customer requirements in complex and often ambiguous outsourced environments. Interacts effectively with team, pursuit leaders, internal governance and business leadership to advance sales efforts.
To maintain and grow the business for International Business.


  • Develops and implements training/contents/processes/practices and tools to support sales team
  • Provide solution and commercial support to the sales team
  • Penetrate and secure new, strategic accounts to achieve revenue & profit targets.
  • Establish and maintain good relationships with customers.
  • Responsible for all direct sales activities and project tenders (supported by Bid & TC Team)
  • Recommend changes and improvements in design, pricing or sales policy
  • Provide weekly Sales Force (SFDC) deal updates and reporting to management
  • Responsible to understand and build solid relationships with the assigned accounts and develop more business opportunities thru sales engagement.
  • Capable of identifying opportunities, direct activity, reach/maintain the highest level of customer satisfaction and become a trusted advisor with the goal of helping the customer meet their goals.
  • Uncover opportunities within the accounts and build sales pipelines.
  • Working and coordinating with other internal Divisions to delivery end to end solution to customers (Including technical).
  • Coordinate and manage all dealings with the accounts, including customer relationships, sales, and post-sales activities
  • Ensuring that the deal is deliverable and supportable with our approved process. Provide internal and market data analysis for Commercial team

Major Activities

  • Respond to requests made by sales teams for pricing and solutioning for Enterprise requirements
  • Participate alongside sales and solutions teams in sales meeting and workshops for customers.
  • Involve in price book for key product/services (eg: MPLS) in conjunction with product teams
  • Interact with access and product teams to seek quotes as per requirements and solution of the deal
  • Negotiate with feasibility and product teams to investigate alternatives in terms of access and solution to reduce costs as per target pricing of the deal being pursued
  • Advice and guide sales team on the commercial packaging to win the deal.
  • Provide market data for internal analysis and reference for deal discussion.


Job Requirements

  • Diploma in related fields
  • 4 - 5 years network in sales, preferably in the same industry
  • Knowledge of International Products offered by StarHub and understand the Telecom Sales processes market Ability to negotiate on commercial terms and pricing. Be customer service focus.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office – excel, word & PowerPoint
  • Technical knowledge and understanding of Enterprise and Service Providers’ products and services within the telecom industry.
  • Pro-active and meticulous
  • Ability to work independently without supervision
  • Time management and ability to manage multiple responsibilities
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills
  • Strong negotiation skills
