Job Description


The selected candidate will be responsible for handling selected StarHub’s Channel Partners, leading a team of more than 20 Channel Partner sales professionals combined to drive sales revenue strategy, manage leads, institute and manage program execution as well as pipeline for growth of the SMB Segment. 

 

The ideal candidate must possess an exemplary record of sales and leadership in building and directing sales and/or sales/channel sales teams to drive sustainable, profitable growth, market share and revenues. Knowledge of telecommunication products such as business mobile, broadband and Voice is highly preferred.

 

With a never-say-die attitude, the selected candidate will be instrumental in build strategic relationships with existing/new channel partners, positioning partners for clear sales opportunities and sales campaigns within different StarHub products lines and develop route to market, and develop strategies to grow in new market segments identified.  

 

He/She will also be required, from time to time, perform joint sales engagement on sizable sales opportunities with the partner sales representatives. The ability to handle customer engagements, strategize and close large opportunities is a must.

 

As people is StarHub’s greatest asset, the candidate will must also be people-oriented - someone who is able to motivate, provide guidance and encouragement to the channel sales team under his/her charge to achieve the desired results.

This candidate reports to the Sales Director of Enterprise Sales – SMB

 

This role requires a strong leader who will play a critical position within the following key business activities:

  • Channel strategy, forecast, sales gap analysis and action planning
  • Channel Partner & Customer engagement
  • Lead and Pipeline Management 
  • GTM and Program Management
  • Large Deal Engagement
  • Operational Management 
  • NPS 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Marketing, or related field. Candidate with Polytechnic Diploma / A Levels / other professional qualifications will also be considered. 
  • 4+ years of experience in direct sales, channel sales, product marketing, or product management
  • Experience in the Telecommunication industry is highly preferred
  • Demonstrated oral and written communications skills 
  • Strong financial and analytical acumen
  • Leadership skills to lead teams and shape growth vision and sales strategy. 
  • Accomplished sales individual contributors with no prior leadership experience but possesses the ability and strong desire to take on a leadership role will also be considered 
  • Creative problem solver and solution developer when presented with competing business priorities 
  • Demonstrated ability to independently deliver results while working on multiple projects simultaneously, balancing resources, timing, and quality of outcomes 
  • Proven ability to influence and negotiate with customers, channel partners and internal stakeholders
  • Achieves and exceeds assigned sales and contract value quota in designated partner accounts
  • Meet assigned expectation for product New sales and Revenue targets
  • Maintains high Partner satisfaction ratings 
  • Execution of Monthly, Quarterly and Annual review of partner planning and performance evaluations
  • Work closely with Customer Service Representatives to ensure customer satisfaction and problem resolution
